The seeds for Everyone Leaves Alive were planted in 2021 while writer Jessica Best was on a road trip. She started thinking about the various reasons people take to the road. What came to mind was
1.) Touring musicians, and
2.) Monster hunters.
From there, she resolved to write a show that would handle conflict without violence whenever possible, making the band less monster hunters and more monster conflict resolution experts. Musical influences include Metric, Voxtrot, Rainer Maria, Neko Case, Hana Vu and many more.
